Let's begin with essential oils! Essential oils are the concentrated oils derived from plant material by methods like steam distillation and cold pressing. The resulting absolute oil has a stronger and more intricate scent profile compared to essential oils. They have a thicker consistency that is sometimes even solid and often exhibit a deeper amber like color.

Due to their extremely concentrated and intense fragrance, absolute oils are prized by perfumers in the formulas of perfumes and colognes. Absolutes have a variety of applications because of their ability to provide a strong natural quality scent and can be useful to scent lotions, candles, soaps, cosmetics and other personal care products.
