Enfleurage is a traditional technique used for extracting aromatic compounds from the most delicate flowers. An ancient art that was perfected and popularized by French perfumers in the 19th century, enfleurage works on the premise that fats dissolve essential oils and thus absorb their aromas. Flower enfleurages are extremely rare today, as they are quite labor intensive and costly to produce. Enfleurages are so true to the aroma of the natural flower that they are absolutely worth it.
Our Enfleurage collection is produced by a distiller with over ten years experience in the art of this specialized type of extraction. Fresh organic flowers are placed gently in organic jojoba wax at ambient temperature, adding and removing fresh flowers daily for ninety days.
