There are over 200 species of Geranium, with the graveolens variety known to produce the highest quality and most therapeutic Geranium Essential Oil. Geranium is used extensively in perfumery. The pleasing scent of Egyptian Geranium is bright rosy and lightly fruity with a rich, sweet rosy dryout. It has more subdued minty herbaceous notes compared with other geranium oils.
Our Geranium is extra special in that, it has been distilled in copper stills yielding a light greenish color. Our Rare and prized, limited edition Inula is distilled in this same way yielding a brilliant emerald green color.
Egyptian Geranium is most often used in aromatherapy for skincare applications. Known to keep skin supple and balanced, reducing acne breakouts. Hormonally balancing and pain reducing, Egyptian Geranium is also used to ease menstrual cramps and relieve the painful symptoms of PMS. Geranium is also a supportive essential oil to use during menopause.
