Our Tobacco Absolute is produced from the cured leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. The tobacco leaves are sustainably farmed, dried and specially processed using organic methods in Bulgaria for perfumery material. Tobacco Absolute has extensive uses in fragrance creation and perfumery. It displays aromas of warm cured tobacco, leather and dried fruit. Reminiscent of fine pipe tobacco, Tobacco Absolute can be used to achieve a dry or masculine character in fragrances.
Tobacco pairs well with bergamot, cedarwood, clary sage, frankincense, labdanum, opoponax, patchouli, sandalwood and vetiver, to name just a few. This fine perfumer's absolute is a tenacious base note with a dark brown color. It has a viscous consistency and may need gentle warming to increase mobility.
A note on absolutes: Absolutes are highly concentrated aromatic materials. Their aroma is best observed in alcohol or carrier oil. Try diluting into one of our premium carrier oils or into alcohol at 5%, 10% or 20% and see how the scent will subtley change.
