Yuzu flower essential oil is a rare treat, meticulously steam-distilled from yuzu blossoms, offering a delightful blend of citrusy and floral notes. It has a predominantly floral character with bright citrus top notes, unfolding into a subtle floral warmth with hints of green and slightly woody undertones in the dry down. It takes approximately 5000 kilograms of fresh yuzu flowers to produce just 1 kilogram of essential oil! This substantial number of flowers needed is due to the relatively low oil content in the flowers, making yuzu essential oil rare, precious and very costly.
