Our Buddhawood Essential Oil is produced from the bark of wild shrubs growing in the deserts of Southern Australia. Also known as Desert Rosewood, Buddhawood is valued in perfumery for its beautifully deep yet soft syrupy woody scent. Buddhawood is a very appealing woody base note with creamy, leathery and lightly balsamic undertone and long lasting aroma. A wonderful substitute for sandalwood that is less sweet.

In aromatherapy, Buddhawood Essential Oil is known for its unique sesquiterpenes called eremophilanes. The oil possesses mild pain relieving properites and has shown to act against some harmful pathogenic microorganisms. Dilute properly for topical applications. Buddhawood is considered a grounding essential oil that can greatly enhance meditation and yoga practices. Buddhawood blends well with many other oils including lavender, myrrh, sandalwood, vetiver, cedarwood, juniper, ylang ylang and more.
